International Women’s Day discussion
Next Monday, March 8 is International Women’s Day.
To celebrate, UNITYblog has invited a bunch of feminists / woman activists to share their thoughts on International Women’s Day and the women’s movement in Aotearoa.
We asked the following questions (but noted that we were happy to receive anything related to these topics):
1. What (if anything) does International Women’s Day mean to you?
2. Is there a feminist or women’s movement in Aotearoa New Zealand? If not why not? If so, what is it doing?
3. What are the biggest issues and challenges facing women and feminism in Aotearoa New Zealand today?
The first few responses will be posted next Monday, with more over the next couple of days, depending on how many we get.
